The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Departmental Specialist 13 (Occupational Health and Safety Specialist) position within the Executive Office, Office of Organizational Innovation.
This position functions as both the overall Department Occupational Health & Safety Specialist and Laboratory Division’s Chemical Hygiene and Safety Specialist. The position ensures that health and safety procedures are implemented and being followed and oversees compliance with Department policies and regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for researching and developing safety training materials and conducts training on compliance and value-added safety topics.
Required Education and Experience
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
